If I paint flowers I place this color for pollen in a centers. Give me a bee and I promise it don’t miss a chance being attracted by sweet pollen aroma — so strong illusion it gives on my paintings! Let me prove why.

Watercolor paint Indian Yellow by Winsor and Newton. Comparing how it absorbed and coverage the surface

Notice smooth coverage of red at the left and heavy blue pigment seat down in pockets at the right. Now see Indian Yellow swatch in the a middle.

When Indian Yellow dry, the pigment take place on top of paper surface. The same thing happens in spring when gardens bloom and the rain wash away yellow pollen from trees. We all wonder to walking the roads covered with yellow paddles.

In my childhood in Belarus as kids we were bullied each other about yellow pollen paddles… that this is a “Chernobyl rain” and if it falls on your head you’ll miss hairs ;))
