As now every single day bring new flowers I keep painting and prioritize time in my graphic to spent time walking and absorb spring beauty 😉 My daffodils creation story in this post today.
Back from post office on my road I saw many sorts of daffodils: some catch my attentions because of a huge size of buds, others – colors. I hadn’t camera with me. The only way to “bring” them with me is to remember and paint as soon as I back home.
I went to the store and there was one more bouquet of daffodils on cashier table! I came home full of different daffodils dancing in my imagination.
As I had no photographs I started to think how to paint them. I notice there is a common structure for ANY daffodils. Each sort of daffodils has this circle and 6-star petals!
Watercolor loose style of painting is beautiful because you don’t need to paint everything. Remembering colors, knowing structure and a wish to paint is enough to paint.
I can’t wait to share my lovely 2018 color gamma for daffodils which I discovered and all my tips and tricks on upcoming “May Spring Streams” watercolor painting online demonstrations and artists friends meet ups.
Another beautiful thing about my way of painting is that it’s universal. You can paint ANY flower with this algorithm! This year I have new sort of muscari with delight aroma. New inspiration and reason to think how to capture them using my techniques..!
