I’m overwhelmed by emotions as I attended my first Art Show event. I was displaying my art and held painting demonstration showing the way I paint in watercolor in my style.
I took my art materials for my demonstration and come at scheduled and announced time outside in art tent. Wind with drizzling was increasing.
There were only me, tent, wind and empty chairs. At this moment my fair no one comes was gone (as no one come). It switched to fair that my tent fly away as well as my paper and reference photographs.
Frustration to stop my debut super special for me demo will be incomparably more than keep painting with getting cold hands infront of empty chairs. By my hands I was trying to keep my paper and to paint at the same time.
For my first demo I chose two special subjects to paint as I knew I will remember this day.
I started from roses as roses was my very first sold watercolor painting when I started my watercolor journey years ago. The moment my brush touched the paper I found a safe place and fall into the world of watercolor.
Besides shaking tent and cold drizzling new visitors come and stay watching can’t wait to see how it turns what I was demonstrating painting. Funny moments, Canadian jokes and lovely people turn my debut demo into memorable moment which I’ll back when I need support and source to go on.
Bev, Alishia and Diane if you reading this, thank you so much for being my very first viewers. Your encouraging talent to come in right time in right place turn this into — a demo started!
The second subject was my lucky talisman — a turtle. Turtle is my lucky talisman since 2015 and it leave my studio very quickly each time I paint it. Focusing on a turtle helped to stay peaceful and quite and move forward with confidence. I felt inner silence and peace while painting it.
Now a few days later when emotions down a little bit I keep these two paintings near me and delight how actually beautiful they appeared. Today in my studio I continued to develop roses and a turtle and finished.
I wish These very special two paintings stay with me but I knew I should let them go to let next wonderful adventure to begin!
Watercolor is my best friend prove wonder does exist.
