Water & Color With Olga Peregood

Blog

Everything covered by snow and I have a wonderful crispy fresh feeling like this is a new bright white piece of paper in front of me. All past terrific events cleaned by snow and fresh frozen air. I’m looking how my animal paintings walk away from Gallery walls and make a free space which multiplies this feeling.

This is a favorite season for many and since this year become for me also. As an immigrant with cutted roots I should learn how to live.

I’ve met Russian immigrants and I saw absolutely empty eyes and holes in their lives. I saw myself in their eyes, “this is me in x0 years!” if I don’t do something with my life!

I found a great pleasure in serving people. By engagement with local Art and Culture this year and meet more people I finally found an answer on my question “how to live Canadian Winter?” . Plus I just cry watched new movie “Alpha”, 2018  about how ancient people and dogs survived Winter 🙂

Dogs eyes

My art appreciated by people for my animal paintings especially dogs got the most attraction and questions how I capture their soul and personality.

I do love animals; we have chinchilla pet now. I’m a horse-admirer and a horse-rider.  Our family had different pets and boxer dog in my childhood.

From my last post you might already know creation stories for fluffy cuties from this collection.

Wood panels

Luckily, there is wonderful collection of 3 paintings on wood panels come out.

Yes, you depend on size of a wood panel you have and which paintings suits for it to be your watercolor paintings framed on wood panels. BUT:

  1. Lovely feeling of watercolor paper and natural wood.
  2. It’s super light weight (good for travel for art shows and for delivery by post to owners)
  3. You really SEE and feel this is original hand painted art work in front of you and no questions asked: “Is this a print?”

I enjoyed November’s “Meet an Artist” days in Christmas Gallery where also my dogs watercolor portraits collection on wood panels available. Many thanks to everyone who came and say hi! I already sent invitations with dates when I’ll be next time present in December. Visit olgaperegood.com/calendar for details.
