Once you taste the sense of freedom while painting watercolor especially loose there is no way back.
I’m enjoying your Wow effects course. As you can see I have a long way to go! I think next I’ll try the palm trees. I absolutely love how you paint them! You make it all look so easy and of course it’s not, but such fun anyway. I’ve been watching your YouTube demos and love those too. I’ve taken lots of online watercolor classes and am discovering that I prefer the loose style over the more realistic. I’m finding it more difficult too, you’d think it would be easier but no no! LolNancy Melching
I also learned form you that it is very beneficial to do a warm up of the subject I want to paint. I did it in my sketchpad. Would also like to share with you my painting of my beagle which my son requested because he is now in another country. He saw the eyes and he said that they seemed alive. I said that I learned that from you. Your daily tutorials are living up to the title My big dream because it is my dream to be able to pain everyday. You are "forcing" or should I say encouraging me to do it daily by inspiring me through your video tutorials.Chona

I have tried the cling wrap technique and chose the colors of fall that are everywhere this week. I love the colors and how they mix on the paper, however this is where I get "stuck" I am looking for negative shapes like your tutorial shows, to bring out some leaves and branches, Is it just inexperience, or will I eventually be able to move past this point and be pleased? I chose MoodMaker, to also learn to paint white, as well as eyes. I am very pleased with the results of both these subjects through your instruction and tutorials. I have painted many eyes since learning and am always amazed to see how they just appear, and want to paint more and more of them.Faye Johansen
I simply loved to follow watercolor painting course "Sun-Kissed Fall", you are an amazing teacher and inspirator and I can watch the films over and over again. It’s not difficult to adjust your lessons to my own style, they give my paintings a new dimension. I have just enrolled the 2015-tutorials & can’t wait to paint hydrangeas and carnations. I’m so happy I found you, you make my day 🙂 You are a wonderful & genuine human being, I can feel your passion for painting of what you create as well as your love for your students. Thank you! I think I have to enroll all your courses 🙂 It’s pure joy to see you paint and I’m grateful to learn from your knowledge an experience.Kindest Ingunn B. Wang

Each class is filled with lovely painting subject, Wow Effects as well. I’m an addicted flower-painter, and in every class I find something to take further and learn a lot. I feel I’m growing as an artist, I really appreciate the classes so much! Here is my stockroses from 4 Train An Artists agility from course "Creating WOW Effects In Watercolor". Or is it hollyhocks? Is it the same flower? I painted filled hollyhocks. I think the flower you showed in the class is Delphiniums 🙂 I first tried to paint this in reds and orange, but I was too eager with the colors in the flowers some the went too dark.Ingunn

I too so look forward to your teaching. I am transfixed by your soft gentle voice. I have always been a little discouraged trying to paint with watercolor as I could not just let myself get *loose* enough. If I was trying to paint*MUD* I would have had a great picture but alas, I was trying to do flowers. But now watching your lessons I have gone out , got new paints, new brushes and watercolor paper too. I try and follow your lessons as you teach them. You ARE my inspiration.Lois Seeley
Olga's classes are so easy to follow and engaging! She is such a kind and generous artist to share her talents this way! Highly recommend for beginner and more advanced painter. There is always something new to learn with watercolor!Angela Casey

I fall in love with watercolor after a long way on my art journey. I was a master of digital graphic when I was a professional web designer. I was making web design for web sites and programs.
My carrier move to design in polygraphy, publishing and press. All my art was about the definition, sharpness and pixels. I was like a fish in a water in graphical programs. I saw color in CMYK, lines as vector objects.
Today watercolor became my philosophy, it`s a state of mind, which comes from things I have always dream to aim for in my life - freedom, positive thinking, letting go life as it is, uniqueness, wellness and this process are still long.
Today my passion for this magical medium led me to teaching online to freely share my new art adventures and discoveries among wonderful artists and I am so happy with that! I paint not only one particular subject. I paint everything I see interesting and what excites me as time goes by.
Mostly I love to paint from my imagination. I use my photos only for defining shapes and curves. There is always a story behind each my painting which I share on my blog.
I attend skating lessons for beginners. My eldest dream. I am the oldest pupil in our group. Kids think I am an assistant teacher 😉 Yesterday I come 30 minutes before the lesson and have opportunity to watch for seniors. All 30 minutes it seems like all they do is repeating falls. I may expect them to have a grumpy faces but instead they have the same face as they go to kiosk for newspaper! Once somebody falls next moment he or she rapidly jumps up and eager to repeat the trick fall. This evening make me many food for my mind about successful state of mind, attitude to mistakes and falls. Not only in skating or in painting but in other spheres of my life too! I bought safety protective gear and gonna be on fire nest lesson!⬅ Me skating without safety protective gear

Not every piece of paper turned into lucky painting, nor every day brings inspiring time spent in studio. There are periods when all your tubes and materials seems don’t want to work! But once you achieve a magic experience by working in watercolor you can`t stop. This wonderful feeling will call you back till the world ends.⬅ I saw such huge frog first time!

It is very important for me to share my discoveries that I do in my tutorials. But more important is to paint just for me in my studio. Spring is lost somewhere this year. The sky covered with clouds. It is hard to believe to calendar it is spring because of snow 3rd day. This is my today’s painting of a branch with buds almost ready to blow. I found this branch on my morning walk and as a child I rapidly grab it into my studio. Let’s be honest. Magic don’t happens. It is steel snowing out my window. I call this painting “Love Begins With A Little”. If you learn to see, love and appreciate little things in life magic will be happened continually. If you look closely on the end of these little unblown buds they turned red. Spring is already here and turn her little lamps! Painting is my escape. Who knows if I was born in warm countries I won’t be an artist. If there is warm sunny days there aren’t all these beautiful roses, hydrangeas, carnations and other paintings and tutorials in my life and on this blog.⬅ Original spring watercolor painting by Olga Peregood. Past one year since we arrived in Canada. I bought bright bouquet of red carnations to highlight an event. What funny is reds recalls in Canadian symbols. Canada brings new colors in my life. This country wide opened my mind. Shows how huge the kindness in people could be. I saw a freedom. I highly appreciate how warmly Canada meet me. Negativity oriented people could say I didn’t see dark side of Canada. But isn’t it in our charge/responsibility to choose/pay attention the side? Quite happy with blogging right now. Enjoying with feeling that I can write absolutely anything, changing and playing with different ideas. Isn`t creating process? the most enjoyable feeling in the world? Looking back, taking speed look at my previous blog posts I feel it was a little bit …It needs more life here. It looks like a beautiful paintings and nice content. I want more real life here. I look at this if I would be a reader of my blog, what should be interesting to me? And, know what? I found my blog needs more definition, backstage information, sketches, more kitchen less lounge. For me information about how it was created, between stages are rather more interesting than just enjoy perfect beautiful result. I rather interested more in artist personality and would take a tour to her studio than buy a ticket to exhibition to watch a collection. Sadly, the information that often hidden from viewer. As an artist I fully understand why because I already in that, always been. To prove that point let me show you something from my sketches paintings in my next post. I am so excited what a juicy content is going to fill my blog!⬅ View of my artists “kitchen” table

💛 Now my art move to something new. It is changed something. I often found myself sitting and enjoying watching my paintings at 1st stage rather than begin work on the next. I know where I should go but I stop and enjoy. 💛 I found bunch of paintings that kept to be done for later and I find all them already done without adding more details! I found my paintings become more loose and incompleteness. 💛 Now I truly realized what watercolor a medium is. There is no way I could repeat the same effect again! I could repeat but the result will never be the 100% same. And I start appreciate this and use it and safe these lucky areas as it is. 💛 I was lucky enough to have paintings where almost hole paper covered with lucky areas and it`s so hard to move forward not to ruin them. I learn to balance on saving amazing watercolors effects and to telling about subject I portray. 💛I have enough paintings to understand how the rush is dangerous. I learn to hear the painting and move on next stage when I am ready. 💛Beautiful and cute pictures are bored me. I want something special. I like to be confusing am really I painted it?⬅ I found bunch of paintings that kept to be done for later and I find all them already done without adding more details!

I noticed as an artists we used to bring the same scenario from life into painting, apply the same dynamics. In our culture we are so busy people. While painting our habits tend us to keep adding more layers. As a result we facing overworking painting. This is a beginning of a new year and I like to see it like a new white piece of paper in front of me. Before become busy implementing plans, dreams, wishes I prepare. Preparation is not doing, is not working. Preparation is reminding your own rhythm, coming into state of mind, listening the flow of life. How to find out you are prepared? How to know your rhythm? Where is safe place so we can trust the process implicitly, play? There are a lot of reasons and questions around the topic. I found a simple answer for each of them. After I finish painting session messy and worry mind calms and things became obvious and easy. Thereby it affects my entire day. This is why love to paint in watercolor loose style and to show others.⬅ SOLD. Original watercolor Ginger dog portrait by Olga Peregood. Before adding last touches
This is a beginning of a new 2018 year and I like to see it like a new white piece of paper in front of me.
This is the end of a 2015 year and I want to wrap my thoughts about my art and think about future plans. This year is very exploitative. I wear myself with different roles according to my art, experimented, I was brave enough to do things just for try before I decide like or no. The more roles I explore the more opened I became to something new. There is no thing on my way, which I is “yes, that’s it!”. I’m still learning and searching. The more I step on my curious journey the clearly see things that I did from my heart. And I’m so happy such things emerged. So my plan for next year is keeping the way I do things from my heart. I’m thankful I have the possibilities to paint almost every day and to share my art with the world. I’m thankful new people that let me know what they think about my teaching. Now I understand what and how to make better and even more exciting. I had so complex and replete year I can’t imagine where I will be in the next. I wish everyone explore as much as you can and enjoy both success and mistakes on your art journey. I wish everyone be brave to move from your comfort zone and try new things before you decide like it or not.⬅ Original watercolor painting by Olga Peregood. For commission

I like my blogging! I know there are just watercolor news here, but anyway… It organizes, it clears mind, it makes a wonderful feeling like you have a magic box and play with content in it, which you create by yourself. And also for me it is an excellent practice in English, he-he. I headed my blog about painting in my fav medium watercolor. It is a magic medium. And if someone ever asks me how do I stay positive and energized in my everyday life I will just link them to my blog for the answer. I still don’t know how it works and may be this is good, but I bring so much from my painting. I don’t know how it works and why. So if it works, I will go on, no matter why and how it works. For painting you don’t need anything at all, just a paper, tubes, water and a brush. So this is simplest. So if there are not lake, no warmly sunny days, or wild life, horses, then I paint. If they are – I paint too. I am not an exhibiting artist whom works are sells in galleries, I am painting just to be inspired during the day, and I enjoy these moments in my life. I step my way, I don’t know where it comes and what waiting for me on it, and I don’t want to know! Perhaps that is why I like my blog, because I don’t know is anybody read it. I don’t care and I am free.⬅ Me in my creative space in Belarus.
