I never admit that I scary big formats. But somehow there always was a small size or even worse – a scrap piece of paper already used on both sides in my hand. My lucky painting animals likes these ones most of all. I used all my paper that I bought from Belarus. … and there are only large heavy expensive lists of paper which I am afraid even touch. So beautiful that I could n`t cut them. So I had to make one little step forward into bigger format. It seems like fortune likes newcomers painting animals. This cute squirrel appears on my first large piece of paper! So amazing that now I can`t step back.⬅ This cute squirrel appears on my first large piece of paper!
Very last paper from old stock. Trying use as much paper lists as possible on purpose of economy and to exercise. I don`t like how paper bring a water and pigment. Don’t bring at all. Anyway female deers looks beautiful on any paper!⬅ Female deers appears on exercise paper

This is very light very first layer of future paintings. This layer is so magical and wonderful that it can stop me from painting on the next layer! But I don’t afraid to ruin it. And I ruined it. Next day I put second layer almost ruins magical results of the first ones. This paintings were strewn with lucky accidents which so hard to achieve! I am crying how they were glow and so fresh! But I don’t regret. Now I realized I should work harder on my patience while I painting. So this is unique photos of first layer that passed away. Every mistake is necessarily sacrifice for artists grown. I appreciate my mistakes. Mistakes are makes my progress quicker!⬅ First layer of future female deer in watercolors by Olga Peregood

"And for this year, my wish for each of us is small and very simple. And it’s this. I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something. So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it. Make your mistakes, next year and forever." — Neil Gaiman⬅ First layer of future female deer in watercolors by Olga Peregood

I walked through local art galleries and found funny collection of oils about chipmunks: chipmunk sitting in a boot, another painting of chipmunk behind garden tool. These paintings inspire me to paint mine in watercolor. Knowing chipmunks quite well by having opportunity watch them near our house I took my son’s sneakers into my studio and have a good time painting my interpretation. Sneakers on my painting looks too small compare to chipmunk, but remember this is a kid’s size shoe! Now I have to made serious decision in which of walls to place this painting in children room or in lobby near boot shelf?
