Water & Color With Olga Peregood

Sketch or not to sketch

“Are you supposed to sketch with a pencil then watercolor or are you supposed to just start watercoloring without a pencil sketch?”

There are some sources and starting tutorials you might start exercising even if you never hold a brush.

But anyway you should be skilled in sketching to paint loose and free style without pencil.

So start from sketching before and don’t stay here for long if your heart call for freedom. Don’t stay in a cages of lines if you want to paint with freedom, atmosphere and style.

Seems like you already SEE a DIFFERENCE! For sure paintings without sketch is more alive, fresh, atmospheric:

Original watercolor “Cactus Pearls” painting by Olga Peregood (2018) without sketching before. Painted during 1st Septemberville livestream session 2018.

I’m over excited about this Saturday’s Septemberville livestream painting session! Still thinking on which request will be covered! A-a-a-a!

I was walking and watching some great paintings which my artist friends shared via my Facebook Group and now I’m totally thrilled. So much spreading love and joy of painting! I didn’t prepared for such feedback on my first Septemberville:

Students Gallery. Inspired by “Cactus Pearls” watercolor painting online demo by Olga Peregood. “Septemberville” 8th 2018

“I was so tired the whole day because of work. My husband told me to sleep first and wake up at midnight. But I was so excited I can’t wait for the show to start. I prepared all my watercolor materials as I planned to paint – along with Olga.

Yes, I enjoyed the watercor cactus fruit even if you have almost finished painting it. I will watch the replay and do my exercise and send them to Facebook Group “lazywonderbrush”.

I hope , together with other members , who seem like old friends now, I will have the chance to meet and learn from Olga live.”

“I had a great few days tho and enjoyed your classes and trying my hand!!”

– Your watercolor friend, Debbie

“I have been watching Olga’s YouTube channel. I love to paint loosely myself,as much as possible. Olga’s generous content has helped me so much. I find Olga’s words of encouragement a great help. I really enjoyed the indigo art paper. Not sure if it is available here in the UK. My favourite subjects are florals, finding them in an initial wash! So much fun”

– Cathy, UK

“Yesterday’s first Septemberville’18…painting the cactus fruits, was just what I needed to get me out of my..oh no, I can’t paint a thing and I can’t pick up the brush…Olga’s class re awakened my love of paper, brush ,and watercolors”
